Here's a list of things I've done off the web. Be sure to check out my shameless book plug (and send me money by buying one).

Books

Writing books is a pain, but it sure is fun to see your name on some dead trees.

The Rails Way

I helped out Obie on this book by doing work here and there. If I remember correctly, I wrote a bit of the associations chapter.

Rails Refactoring to Resources

This ebook was released in April of 2007. It's a good little how-to on some of Rails's RESTful features and on refactoring an existing Rails app to them.

Talks

Giving talks is a bit more fun than writing books. I get to immediately tell if the talk is going well and really enjoy the rush of being at the front of the room. Luckily (and unluckily) some of my talks were taped.

Goruco 2007

My talk was entitled Contexts, mocks, and stubs, oh my! and covered what you would expect, testing. It's not my favorite talk ever, but it's alive on Travelistic thanks to Francis Hwang. Ergo... you're getting a link.

See me speechifying.

Railsconf Europe 2007

This talk was a total blast. It was in Berlin (score!) and was a three hour tutorial session. It covered Rails Refactoring, with a focus on getting to resources. Though there was no video and unfortunately the slides aren't really any good without the quicktime videos in them. If you want, call me and I'll just come give the talk to you in person.
